 Respect life! Challenge the culture of death! 
In the October 4, 2019 edition of The Southern Cross, Tony Magliano wrote, "St Pope John Paul II, in his powerful encyclical "Evangelium Vitae" ("The Gospel of Life"), [37b] challengingly said, "How can we fail to consider the violence against life done to millions of human beings, especially children, who are forced into poverty, malnutrition and hunger because of an unjust distribution of resources between peoples and between social classes? 

 "And what of violence inherent not only in wars as such, but in the scandalous arms trade, which spawns the many conflicts which stain our world with blood?

 "What of the spreading of death caused by reckless tampering with the world's ecological balance?

 St John Paul then linked these deadly affronts against life to the lethal attacks upon human beings at life's earliest and final stages - through abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide," Alleged News. [38]

 The Southern Cross columns
In its columnist articles and advertising columns, The Southern Cross has carried emphatic pro-life content and advertisements on an ongoing basis. 

Pro-life 1970's
Dr Luky Whittle was a columnist for The Southern Cross in the 1970's and 1980's. Her article published circa 1970's entitled "Neighbourly help for a girl in need" began as follows, 
"Birthright, the agency that helps pregnant women find alternatives to abortion ..." and concluded with "If you could help get this movement started in your community, why not contact the national director of Birthright ..." [39]

 Prolife 2020
The Southern Cross advertises Birthright and continues to do so, with the words, "Pregnant? Need help? We care, BIRTHRIGHT.

Retrenchments
Devoted The Southern Cross readers were dismayed at the news that our beloved family newspaper has ground to a halt during the Covid pandemic, leading to the closure of the newspaper just prior to its hundredth birthday in October. 

 Holy water was sprinkled on the retrenched staff's brows by Cape Town's Auxiliary Bishop Sylvester David on 29th July 2020, as The Southern Cross readers grieved from Covid-19 isolation. This was part of the farewell blessing for the nine staff who were no longer going to be employees of The Southern Cross, Alleged News. [43]   

Forty-seven years dedicated service
They included Ms Pamela Davids, the admin manager who served the newspaper for close to 47 of its 100 years; alleged News. [43] But Ms Davids will continue to serve The Southern Cross, alongside Mr Gunther Simmermacher and online editor Ms Claire Allen to bring out the weekly edition digitally until late September, when The Southern Cross will relaunch as a monthly magazine, Alleged News. [43] 

Bishop Sylvester David
In his homily, Bishop David said he had grown up reading The Southern Cross; Alleged News. 

 Bishop David had this to say, "At heart, The Southern Cross is a lighthouse that keeps the Good News alive," Alleged News. [43] "The evangelising disciples and St Paul themselves were journalists who recorded the signs and deeds of their times. Their ministry was an early form of social communications, in writing and speaking, to keep families and communities connected in their Christian faith.  

 For us, now, keeping The Southern Cross alive in digital and affordable print format would be a valiant mission worth struggling for," Alleged News.  [43] 

Archbishop William Slattery
Archbishop Slattery pointed out the sadness of the moment in the history of the church "to learn that our beloved weekly as we knew it will soon be no more... There is a death in our family this year," Alleged News. [44]

OUTRAGE IS SWEEPING SOUTH AFRICA IN THE WAKE OF THE NEWSBREAK THAT SATANIC "CHURCH" IN SOUTH AFRICA HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY REGISTERED IN THE COUNTRY; ALLEGED NEWS. [1]  

 Satanic "church" is the first of its kind in Africa, Alleged News. [1] Petitions calling for the satanic "church" in South Africa to be shut down are gaining momentum. [2] and [3] and [4]

 Sfiso Mbatha said allowing the church to exist means South Africans are accepting "evil as something that is good for our society when in fact it is not," Alleged News. [3]   Mbatha added that future generations should not be exposed to the legacy and teachings of the church, Alleged News. [3]

 Among the signatories to Mbatha's petition is Sallianne Greenfield, who said, "As a believer in Christ, I cannot begin to think of the harm this satanic [church] can do," Alleged News. The mission of satanic "church" is allegedly to educate the public about the satanic religious board, Alleged News. [6] Kroesbergen-Kamps wrote, "On the one hand, there are self-declared satanists, like the members of the South African satanic church, who practise a new religious movement - satanism for them is a positive word that represents their individualism.  The word on the street is that South Africans are not viewing the South African satanic "church" as an individualistic movement, but rather according to the statements which appear on their website such as: "hail satan," [5] "satan speaks," [5] "satan to us is a symbol of pride, freedom and individualism, and it serves as a projection of our highest potential," [5]

The following statement appears on the website of the South African satanic "church": "We do NOT worship the "devil", but simply revere satan as an archetype for our true nature." [5]

Nine satanic statements from the satanic "bible" by Anton LaVey are quoted, inclusive of the following:
"satan represents vengeance, instead of turning the other cheek", "satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those who walk on all-fours, who, because of his 'define spiritual and intellectual development' has become the most vicious animal of all!"  
"satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!"  Alleged News. [5]

Word on the street is that South Africans generally consider the following of satanic "bible" precepts as implication of acceptance of the satanic entity tenets, resultant in the maxim that whoever follows the precepts follows the master.

WHATSOEVER YOU DO TO THE LEAST OF THESE, YOU DO UNTO ME. - JESUS


WHEN JESUS CHRIST HUNG DYING ON THE CROSS, HE PRAYED FOR HIS TORMENTORS, "FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY ARE DOING." What they were doing, of course, was executing the Son of the Ruler of the Universe. Did they fully understand the gravity of the act they were carrying out? No. They were executing the Son of the Judge before Whom each of them were to stand after their death.

Our personal judgement
Each of us will stand before God after our own demise, in order to answer to Him for our deeds, our misdeeds, and our failure to act when action on our part was necessary. Jesus has clearly told us the criteria upon which our judgement will be carried out: "Then the King will say to those on His Right, "Come, you who are blessed by My Father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

Jesus foretold that the righteous will answer, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and and go to visit you?" Then the King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatsoever you did to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did unto me."

Then He will say to those who did not do these kind deeds, "Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me." 
They also will answer, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?" He will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatsoever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me." Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." [Matthew 25:31-46].

Jesus identifies with all humanity
As the Covid-19 pandemic rages, what message may we draw from Christ's words? As many die and come before the Throne of God at this time, it is valuable to keep in mind the criteria Jesus has clearly laid down for us in order to determine where our eternal destiny will be spent. How may we ensure that we follow the Master's directive for a life which will be worthy of heaven?
- whatever we do to anyone is as grave an action as if it were done to Jesus Christ Himself. That is how closely the Son of God identifies Himself with all humanity
- we will be judged on our kindness, empathy, respect and good deeds towards others
- lack of respect for others and their property is unworthy of the innate nobility which should be the hallmark of humanity

Abortion is murder
The lives of innocent unborn should be respected. The true Ruler of the Universe, Almighty God, has commanded  "Thou shalt not kill." [Exodus 20:13]. This commandment entails that we should respect the lives of others, inclusive of the innocent unborn. 

Indeed, this makes perfect sense. As so many of our contemporaries are losing their lives due to the pandemic, it makes no sense to murder more. Due to the coronavirus, society as we know it has been altered. We will need all the precious souls God sends to us as we face pandemic-consequences.
ABORTION IS NOT AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE
ABORTION IS MURDER!
