Mom's Kitchen; Baked Stuffed Apples

BAKED STUFFED APPLES
Preparation time; 10 minutes
Oven time; 45 minutes

Necessary items;
Peeler, apple corer, small knife, small bowl, oven dish, 4 small dishes

Ingredients;
4 firm apples
2 tablespoons sultanas
1 tablespoon dark brown caster sugar
Third of a teaspoon of cinnamon
25g butter, diced
4 cinnamon sticks
25g butter to grease oven dish
500 ml vanilla custard

How to make;
1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees celsius
2. Peel top of apples, approximately 3 cm from stalk
3. Remove core with the apple corer, and a slice off the bottom so the apples remain upright
4. Mix sultanas with the brown caster sugar, cinnamon and diced butter. Stuff the apples with this mixture and embed a cinnamon stick into each one
5. Grease the oven dish with the butter. Arrange the apples in the dish and cook for approximately 45 minutes in the hot oven. Remove the cinnamon sticks from the apples when they have cooled slightly. Be very careful with the apples when they first come out of the oven, as they are hot
6. Put the apples into the dishes and drizzle with vanilla custard.

Enjoy!
