 The World Meeting of Families - Philadelphia 2015 is an international Conference on the Family founded by Saint John Paul II and sponsored by the Pontifical Council for the Family in Rome and the Philadelphia Archdiocese, Alleged News [2]
The World Meeting of Families describes itself as 'a week long international event of prayer, catechesis, and celebration that draws participants from around the globe. Pro-Lifers Concerns
Pro-Lifers are raising questions as to why Robert Ciaruffoli, president of the World Meeting of Families, made contributions to pro-abortion candidates, including a former executive director of Planned Parenthood, Alleged News [1]

The Lepanto Institute contacted both the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Robert Ciaruffoli on Thursday, August 20th 2015 for comment and clarification; none had been received back by press time, Alleged News [1]

Ciaruffoli made a 2008 donation of $1,000 to Allyson Schwarz, Alleged News.
Schwarz founded the Elizabeth Woman's Center, a Planned Parenthood facility in Philadelphia, in 1975, Alleged News.
Schwarz served as its executive director until 1988, Alleged News.
Schwarz's voting record is 100% in favor of abortion, Alleged News.
In 2005, she voted AGAINST restricting interstate transportation of minors to have an abortion, and FOR expanding embryonic stem cell research, Alleged News.
In 2011, Schwarz voted AGAINST banning federal health coverage that includes abortion, and in 2013 she sought to ban pro-life measures limiting abortion, Alleged News.
