INNOCENT CHICKS ARE THRUST ALIVE THROUGH A GRINDER - BECAUSE THEY ARE MALE; ALLEGED NEWS. Helpless wriggling chicks are debeaked, thrown from side to side as they are checked; Alleged News. Other chicks helplessly lie and die; Alleged News. Lumiere Charity has received reports of the treatment of chicks. In my youth, I grew up near farms and used to spend weekends with my friends, helping them to gather eggs. Free range chickens [why would you want to cage them?] ran up to us when we came to collect eggs. We knew them by name, and Tillie took a special shine to me. She used to follow me around everywhere when I came to visit the smallholding. We used to wait outside until the hens finished laying [we considered they needed the privacy]. Then we kids used to go in and gently remove the eggs, place them in a bucket and bring them to my friends' parents. My friends used sufficient eggs for their dietary needs, and sold the rest at the local market. The rest were left for the moms to brood on, and hatch sweet little baby chicks which we children doted on. The farmers did not make a huge profit, but they certainly made ends meet; and we kids loved visiting the small farm. Cossetted in the Kitchen When chicks were hatched, we were absolutely thrilled. Sometimes if there was an ailing chick, my friend's mom used to keep the little one in her kitchen in a box. She would nurse it, hand feeding and rearing the tiny mite. They usually survived. We used to coo to the chicks, loving their downy yellow feathers and their innocent little faces. Their sweetness and helplessness charmed us, making us eager to help them if they were ill. We were often shooed out of the kitchen, as it was considered the little sick chicks needed peace and quiet, snuggled in their cosily fitted boxes - in order to thrive. Egg Industries Baby Chickens are being ground to death in egg hatcheries; Alleged News. Graphic footage shows this occurrence. Warning; this video is not suitable for children.
Male chicks are reportedly considered useless as they cannot lay eggs. 21 Facts as Apprised by PETA 1. It takes approximately 34 hours for a hen to produce an egg 2. In order to keep up with the demand, more than 300 million hens are used by the US egg industry every year, Alleged News 3. Hens' lives enter a two year cycle of suffering, from the time they are born 4. Chicks are born in large incubators 5. They will never see their mothers 6. Shortly after birth, the males and females are separated 7. The females head to a life in the egg industry - roughly handled, Alleged News 8. The males are either tossed into trash bags to suffocate, Alleged News 9. Or the males are ground up alive, Alleged News. [Warning; footage not suitable for children] 10. The female chicks have their beaks cut off with a hot blade 11. 5 to 11 hens are crammed into tiny wire 'battery' cages 12. The cages are often stacked one on top of one another 13. This allows urine and faeces to fall down onto birds in the lower cages 14. Because of the terrible living conditions, chickens often die in their cages 15. They are sometimes left to rot in the same space as living birds 16. After two years, those who have survived are sent to the slaughter 17. At the slaughterhouse, laying hens meet the same bloody end as that of chickens raised for their meat 18. They are shackled and hanged upside down 19. They are electrocuted 20. Their throats are cut 21. And they are often scalded to death; Alleged News. See Peta footage re the above 21 points. Warning; viewing not suitable for children. http://www.peta.org/features/egg-industry-cruelty/ Chickens contaminated with campylobacter Nearly three-quarters of fresh chickens in supermarkets and butchers are contaminated with the potentially lethal food-poisoning bug campylobacter, according to the final results of a year-long testing programme published by the Food Standards Agency, Alleged News. [1] The cumulative results for samples taken between February 2014 and February 2015 showed that 73% of poultry is contaminated with the bacteria, and 19% of the chickens are heavily contaminated; Alleged News .[1] Campylobacteriosis Campylobacteriosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of the genus Campylobacter. Most people who become ill by Campylobacter show the following symptoms;
diarrhoea
cramping
abdominal pain
fever
within two to five days after exposure to the organism.
The diarrhoea can be bloody, and may be accompanied by nausea and vomitting.
The illness usually lasts one week.
If a person with a compromised immune system contracts campylobacteriosis, the Campylobacter occasionally spreads to the bloodstream and cause serious, life-threatening infection. [2]
Leading zoonotic disease
Human Campylobacteriosis is the leading zoonotic disease in Europe and in the US.
In the EU, 214 779 confirmed cases were reported in 2013; Alleged News .
The EU case-fatality rate lay at 0.05%; Alleged News.
56 deaths due to Campylobacteriosis were reported in 2013, with the United Kingdom accounting for 33 of these; Alleged News. [3]
Campylobacter infections are acknowledged to be under-reported; true numbers of clinical campylobacteriosis are estimated to lie between 2 and 20 million per year; Alleged News.
In the US more than 2.4 million cases are reported annually with several hundred fatalities; Alleged News. [3]
Globally, campylobacter infections cause about 400 million cases of diarrhoea annually; Alleged News.
The costs of campylobacteriosis to public health systems and to lost productivity, is estimated to be around EUR 2.4 billion a year in the EU and around USD 18 bn in the USA, Alleged News. [3]
Campylobacter Infection Complications
About 1% of documented Campylobacter cases are associated with severe complications such as arthropathies, abortion [miscarriage] and neuropathological symptoms [Guillain Barre Syndrome, a form of paralysis], Alleged News. [3]
Further complications can include septicaemia, Alleged News. [4]
Septicaemia is an infection of the blood, also known as bacteremia or blood poisoning.
Other infections are meningitis, inflammation of the gall bladder [cholecystitis], and appendicitis; Alleged News. [4]
Guillain Barre Syndrome
A sizeable percentage of those who suffer Campylobacter infections develop Guillain Barre Syndrome, which causes neuromuscular paralysis; Alleged News.
Over time, the paralysis is to some extent typically reversible; however, approximately 20% of the patients with GBS are left disabled, and approximately 5% die; Alleged News. [4]
Miller Fisher Syndrome
Guillain Barre Syndrome [GBS] occurs when an infected person's immune system makes antibodies against components of Campylobacter, and these very antibodies attack components of the body's nerve cells because they are chemically similar to bacterial components; Alleged News.
Miller Fisher Syndrome is another, related neurological syndrome that can follow Campylobacteriosis; Alleged News.
Miller Fisher Syndrome is also caused by a triggered immune response, Alleged News. [4]
Reiter's Syndrome
Another chronic condition that may be associated with Campylobacter infection is a condition formerly known as Reiter's Syndrome; a form of reactive arthritis, Alleged News
Multiple joints can be affected, particularly the knee joint. Pain and incapacitation can last for months, or become chronic; Alleged News.
Reactive arthritis is a complication strongly associated with a particular genetic make-up;
id est, people who have the human lymphocyte antigen B27 (HLA-B27) are the most susceptible; Alleged News. [4]
What causes Campylobacter?
Contaminated poultry meat is considered to be a major source of infection for humans, which may be partly due to the high bacterial load among live birds and the automation of the slaughter process; Alleged News. [3]
The intestinal tract of chicken, especially the cecum and colon, can harbor Campylobacter bacteria; Alleged News.
During processing, the intestinal tract may leak or rupture, and the contents be transferred to the skin of the carcass; Alleged News.
Campylobacter spreads quickly through a broiler flock within a matter of days; Alleged News. [3]
Coprophagy [the eating of faeces or dung], and chicken-to-chicken transmission via the fecal-oral route [faeces or dung to eating through beak] increases the dissemination of the bacteria [or its rapid spread]; Alleged News. [3]

37,OOO PEOPLE IN 143 VILLAGES IN ETHIOPIA NOW HAVE CLEAN WATER BECAUSE OF RACHEL'S WISH. Five years ago, young Rachel Beckwith had a wish. Shortly before her ninth birthday, this young lady learned that children on the other side of the planet were spending more time walking to find and collect dirty water, than they were in school. She decided to help. Birthday Gifts Rachel asked family and friends to donate $9 to her fundraising campaign for water, instead of giving her birthday gifts. She wished to fundraise $300 - enough to bring clean water to some children in need. Rachel managed to raise $220. Her mom reassured her she could try to fundraise more for her next birthday. Not to be But it was not to be. Tragically, this little angel left us a month later in a traffic accident. The Seattle community of Rachel and her family were shaken to hear the news. A local news station happened to mention Rachel's wish to raise $300 and bring clean water to children in need. Hundreds of strangers began to give $9 in her memory. Their numbers swelled to tens of thousands. Eventually, Rachel's fundraising campaign had grown from $220 to $1.2 million. This sum has proven sufficient to bring clean and safe drinking water to 37,770 people in Ethiopia. Impact In Beato alone, 250 people collect an average of 1,484 liters of water every day, because of Rachel. 408 of the benefactors who donated to Rachel's fundraiser, went on to fundraise for clean water as Rachel had. Their group has raised another $1.7 million for clean water. [1] Water is the gift of life Without water we cannot exist. Without clean water, we cannot hope to live healthy, lengthy and strong lives. Rachel gave a gift that will continue to keep on giving. As each liter of water is brought up from each well, so her thoughtfulness and care for others continues to spread a rainbow of blessings around the earth. Want to Help? Children of Sanghamitta Seba Sangha enjoying meals from the newly built Kitchen
LANDSLIDE DEVASTATION OF CHILDREN'S ORPHANAGE AND SHELTER WAS REPORTED BY LUMIERE ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd 2015. Today we are delighted to report that due to benefactions from Lumiere Charity Benefactors, and co-sponsorship, more than 177 boys and girls - together with dedicated monks and staff - are benefiting from a newly built kitchen in Sanghamitta Seba Sangha, Bangladesh.
THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE . . .
FROM THIS;
TO THIS!
In September 2015, Sanghamitta Seba Sangha, Children's Orphanage and Shelter in Bangladesh, was devastated by a landslide after a deluge of rain. The Orphanage continuously assists more than 177 boys and girls.
Lumiere Charity benefactions and co-sponsorship have assisted the reconstruction of the Cemi Puca Kitchen in the Orphanage.
Happy Opening Day!
From the purchase of building necessities, through the labour intensive rebuilding, the painting and final stages to the happy opening day of the new kitchen, Lumiere Charity has been privileged to co-sponsor with TOUCH Ireland, benefaction of the dedicated work of Director Paimong and the Directors of Sanghamitta.
The children have a proper kitchen again.
But there are many further needs.
The children need ongoing care, food, medical costs, education costs, transport, clothing.
Orphanage and Rural School Programme
The Kitchen Project is finished. Lumiere now wishes to assist Chief Patron Wee Su Dha Mohothero and Director Paimong Marma with their new Orphanage and Rural School Programme helping impoverished children
in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh.
Plantations, Dam and Fish Lake Planned
Sanghamitta also plans to implement small, easy to manage income generating projects;
Rubber Plantations
A Dam - a strong wall to be built across the river in order to dam the water and make a lake
To inaugurate Fish Farming in the lake
Director Paimong Marma has apprised that rubber plantations to provide natural rubber would be an important and income-generating crop.
The climate and environment of Bangladesh
is very suitable for fish farming.
Fish in in great demand in Bangladesh,
so there would be a ready market
for the sale of fish.
Both projects would also form
sources of employment.
Perhaps Divine Providence has led you
to read these words - in the spirit of
Lumiere, is there anything
you can do to help?

THOUSANDS STREAMED TO BELFAST FROM IRELAND AND ENGLAND TO PROTECT UNBORN CITIZENS. Many protesters began the day in prayer. Thousands packed churches in Belfast, so full that many had standing room only. In one church, a hand painted portrait of an unborn child graced the portal. The presiding Priest spoke of Jesus' call to us to have mercy; and to love our neighbour. He emphasized the point - protesters nodding everywhere - that "This is the heartbeat of the Prolife movement; to become neighbour to the unborn child. To become neighbour to the oppressed woman with the oppressed pregnancy."
After Mass many came forward to pray at the Our Lady of Guadalupe image in front of the altar. [1] Thereafter, spiritually refreshed and much cheered, protesters made their way to Custom House Square in Belfast through the pouring rain.
Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE, PRAY FOR US
Of good cheer Mirth and good humour were the hallmark of the day. As the rain poured down, protesters of all ages and mobility steadfastly stood. The downpour did not deter anyone from completing the protest. As one protester remarked, "It's raining on our parade!" while the other one laughingly quipped, "We're people of all weathers - rain, snow, wind or sun, we're out to protect life!"
An interesting turn of events was that many people brought their canine friends to the protest. The dogs were thrilled to be out, and loved the rain. One little dog, after frisking in the rain, tired of it. The puppy took shelter under a human umbrella.
One passerby quipped, "Now it's even Pets for Life!" Indeed. The Prolife Movement has grown so strong in Ireland that fellow protesters have taken to flying in from other countries to support the people of Ireland at the Rallies. Campaigners for Life
Bernadette Smyth of Precious Life NI
Luminous Bernadette Smyth took to the stage, and affirmed all of Ireland's protest against proposed changes to Northern Ireland's abortion laws; namely, 1861 Offences Against the Person Act, and the Criminal Justice Act 1945. [2] Niamh Ui Bhriain challenged the call for Independent TD Mick Wallace's bill to allow terminations of pregnancies in cases of fatal foetal abnormality.
Niamh Ui Bhriain The bill has been advised as unconstitutional, by Attorney General Maire Whelan. [3]
Meabh Mairead McArdle
Little Meabh was born at 23 weeks gestation, her weight 1 pound. Her proud mom Fionnula spoke to the crowds at the Rally about her little girl. In England, Wales and Scotland, abortion is legal up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. [4] The number of pro-choice campaigners who have told me that there is no baby, the foetus is simply a blood clot, are proven wrong by the living breathing lassie smiling from the poster. Meabh - her family from Andersonstown in the west of Belfast - shows just how wonderful the miracle of life is. [5]
Fatal Foetal Abnormality Bill Minister for Health Simon Harris, reflecting on the legal advice available in relation to constitutional issues surrounding the bill, apprised the following as reported on 30th June 2016; "I am informed by the Chief Medical Officer that the circumstances in which such a situation would arise do not exist in medical practice. It can never be said that a foetus with a fatal foetal abnormality will not be born to live for a short time, even if that is only to be minutes, to draw a breath and to have a detectable heartbeat. If a foetus has the capacity to be born, it has the protection of the constitution. "Any Bill that provides for termination in these circumstances, as this Bill does, would not be constitutional and would also not be medically practicable", Alleged News. [6]
Unborn Baby - with thanks to the artist, Belfast Church
Britain for Life
Ms Isabel from March For Life UK
Ms Isabel from March For Life UK addressed the Rally. She called out,
"Thank you, Ireland, for facing the
culture of death head on!
For not giving up this battle."
She thanked Ireland for standing up against countries and organizations that support abortion drive. Isabel quoted recent statistics on abortions in the UK. [7] 185 824 little babies met their death by abortifacient drug Mifegyne, vacuum aspiration [recommended at up to 15 weeks gestation] and dilitation and evacuation [D & E], recommended where gestation is greater than 15 weeks; Alleged News. [8] In other words, one hundred and eighty five thousand, eight hundred and twenty four little innocent children were brutally attacked in the womb, and torn apart by various methods inflicting torture; namely,
being killed by chemical drug
being torn apart by powerful suction aided by sharp knife like surgical instruments [9]
being literally cut to pieces within the womb [10]
Thus the unborn citizens of today and the taxpayers of tomorrow are brutally condemned and killed within the womb. March For Life UK Where is the outcry? British people are rising up against this terrible assault on human rights. March For Life UK are vigorously protesting abortion in the United Kingdom. [11]
IRELAND SUPPORTS THE
UNITED KINGDOM IN ITS FIGHT AGAINST ABORTION
Non-resident Abortions Drop Isabel highlighted the fact that the UK Abortion Statistics show that abortions to women resident outside England and Wales, have dropped. The number of abortions to non-residents, principally from the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland, dropped in 2015 to 5,190 - "the lowest in any year since 1969", Alleged News. [12] The people of Ireland are voting by quantifiably falling numbers against abortion.
We are settled in for the long haul People came from all over Ireland to proclaim; we are settled in for the long haul. We will NEVER ACCEPT ABORTION. Niamh Ui Bhriain proclaimed, "We are the Pro-Life majority of Ireland and we stand for life!" "We will go door to door, to the churches, to the meeting places; we will not be cowed. We are going to win; mothers and unborn babies will be protected." Silence A minute of silence was held in remembrance of Baby David, a little child who was aborted by abortion pill in Belfast and thrown in the garbage by his mother; Alleged News. [13] The housemates of the mother - who found the baby - were deeply traumatised. "The baby had hands, feet, all its facial features, its little nose. I can't stop thinking that it might have been alive when it was born. It is awful," one of them said; Alleged News. [14] Traffic at standstill The sheer volume of protesters brought the traffic of Belfast to a stop. As the downpour continued, protesters steadfastly marched through the city.
PERSONHOOD BEGINS AT CONCEPTION
At the roadside a gentleman with Down's syndrome stood. Three pro-choice representatives had just been calling out at the Rally protesters, affirming their support for abortion. The gentleman stood there quietly. The deep wisdom and reflection on his face gave way to a steadfast resolve. Slow clap He began a slow clap in honour of all the protesters. As hundreds after hundreds of men, women, children, babies, people in wheelchairs, ministers of religion, people from other countries processed before him, he stood - unheeding of the rain - continuing the slow victory clap. Other pedestrians stopped to gather around him, and joined in the slow clap. Protection of the Unborn Yes, citizens of Ireland and the United Kingdom; we will never stop protecting the rights of the unborn child, the child with Down's syndrome, the child with a foetal condition able to bless us with their short lives. We will never stop crying out the truth;
ABORTION IS MURDER.
THE PEOPLE OF IRELAND WILL NEVER ACCEPT ABORTION.
Quotes from the Rally "This is the new human rights movement of the 21st century" "We are involved in the largest human rights struggle in the history of humanity" "We are a force to be reckoned with; we have Almighty God on our side. We will have justice because this is our heritage, our blessing from God. With the help of God, we will have victory" "We're the Pro-Life majority and we stand for life!" "Our laws are on the right side of history" "Abortion is evil" "Injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere" "We follow the spirituality of life" "Every human being is our neighbour - including the unborn child" "We [need] to create the conditions for others to see what we see - the unborn child as our neighbour" "We need to express the reality of abortion" Benediction As Isabel from March For Life UK concluded her words to the massive crowds, she called out;
