Lumiere English Academy; Negatives (12)

Lumiere English academy
A Basic Grammar
Negatives

There is sometimes slight confusion in the matter of negatives.
Why, for example, write in an advertisement: "No women need apply" rather than "need to" apply or "Women do not need to apply?"
It's all part of the infinite variety of English.
It is easy to formulate negative sentences in the English language;
for example, you can use the verb 'To be'.
It is common.
To make this sentence into a negative sentence, you add in the word not;
So, 'It is not common' or 'It isn't common.' (Isn't is the contracted form).
