Lumiere English Academy; The Passive Mood (11)

Lumiere English academy
A Basic Grammar
The Passive Mood (11)

A simple way to express the passive mood is to say that the subject and the object change places, e.g. in the sentence: "John loves Mary".
John is the subject and Mary the object.
When Mary becomes the subject and John the object, we move into the passive mood, e.g. "Mary is loved by John."
