A Candle has been lit by Lumiere in remembrance of Children in Bolivia

A candle has been lit by Lumiere in remembrance of the plight of children at risk in Bolivian prisons.
A 12 year old girl living in a Bolivian prison with her father, uncle and godfather, is reportedly pregnant after claiming to have been systematically raped over the course of five years.
Children reportedly live behind bars where they often live with convicted relatives.
Deep concern is being expressed over the conditions in which children live in the jail system in Bolivia.

When a parent is jailed in Bolivia, the entire family often find themselves obliged to join them in prison simply in order to survive.
Sometimes children reportedly receive one cup of tea in prison for supper.
At night children are reportedly locked in and cannot go to the bathroom.
These are tragic circumstances where children are treated as non-persons.
These innocents suffer terribly.

The young children are vulnerable to being misused, and are at risk.
It is reported that a 10 year old child had died in the prison at La Paz.
She had been going in to the prison to visit her father, and sometimes she stayed over.
One of the other prisoners raped and abused her, and she was found a few days later, dead in his call.

Perhaps Divine Providence has led you to read these words, and you are in a position to help alleviate these tragic conditions.
Let us pass the candle of assistance on in this suffering world of ours.

In the spirit of Lumiere, is there anything you can do to help?
